FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Q. Is CR Expressions a campus group or a church?

CR Expressions isn’t a long term discipleship community, like a church or campus group. Instead it’s about coming together for unified action and connecting the impact to campus groups for long term discipleship.

Q. How long is this going to take me?
Applications take 90 seconds and the course is under an hour. From application to interview, this process can be as short as a week so you can get the ball rolling on campus. Every call and CR Expression event is once a month. These once-a-month schedules are designed for everyone to be able to host an expression while being a student.
Q. I’ve never initiated something like this before. Can I actually do this?

Yes! We have stories of first-year students who only knew a handful of friends initiate a First Friday on her campus. One student at Kean University came to our evangelism training in her first semester. After one training with our team, she gathered some friends and shared the Gospel on her campus. Over a dozen got saved! God meets our yes!

Q. My on-campus ministry already evangelizes. Can I still participate?

100% yes you can! CR Expressions is all about taking collective action. If your on-campus ministry is already taking action, we invite you to extend the invitation to more Christian students and communities for greater impact on your campus!

Q. Can I invite my church to participate with me?

CR Expressions is open to more than just college organizations. Young adult groups, churches, and other communities are all encouraged to get involved. Our goal is to mobilize and empower young people across different contexts to share the love of Jesus.

Q. What denomination do you align with?

We are a multi-denominational movement connected to Youth With A Mission (YWAM), embracing believers from various Christian backgrounds. Our focus is on uniting followers of Jesus under the common mission of spreading His love and message across the globe through evangelism. To learn more you can read our Statement of Faith.

Q. What happens after a student gets saved?

After students get saved at our events, we prioritize follow-up and discipleship. We connect them with other Christians on campus because we’ve found that relational connections increase the likelihood of integrating into a local Christian community. We also guide them through essential next steps in discipleship, such as joining a local church, Bible reading, prayer, and baptism.
